Baby stuff

The time is getting closer. Lacy has one of her baby showers in a couple weeks and we have been preparing his room lately. Lacy is excited about decorating. I was wanting to leave the deer head ("Bernie" as named by Lacy's dad), but Lacy insists that I take the deer head down. :)

Paul Washer

I have been listening to a preacher by the name of Paul Washer over the course of the last 6 months or so, and I have found his passion to be delightfully encouraging to me. The following link will take you to one of his videos on youtube.com:

Enjoy, and God bless.

Fall

Our favorite time of year is here. Attached are a couple pictures of Lacy and me. Look at that belly!

More Carvings

Here are a couple more carvings I recently have done. Sorry I don't post in this blog very much (I tend to forget that I even have it). Lacy is pregnant and we are expecting "him" to be born around the beginning of January. His name has already been decided upon by Lacy and I as to be "Hunter Allen Egesdal." I will post more later, but for now, here are a couple of carvings and our dog.

A Baby

It has been a while since I have posted anything. Lacy and I are expecting a baby in January 2010. We went to the doctor on Wednesday and found out that she is carrying a little boy. God is good!

More Pictures from Lisa's Visit with Us

Lisa Visiting

Lacy's mom Lisa visited us this last week and we all had a wonderful time. The girls went shopping several times and we played a lot of games. Lacy and I bought a Nintendo Wii a few weeks ago and the three of us had a fun time playing games on it. On Tuesday the weather was beautiful so we went on a pic-nic, where we played horseshoes, followed by a visit to the Dickerson Park Zoo. All in all it was a fun week and a blessing to have such a wonderful mother-in-law. Here are a few pictures of that week.

This photo is for anyone who wonders what I look like bald (which I am slowly becomming).

This is a picture of Lacy during our first year of marriage (she had just made me some apple pie... yummy!), and a picture of our pet (a sugar glider) sitting on my shoulder.

Here is a couple pictures from Lacy's graduation in May 2008.

Last March I joined a woodcarving class and since then I have carved several little items and have even sold a few. Here are a few pictures of those carvings.

New Here!

Hello everyone, this is my first attempt at creating a blog site in which I will sporadically post information about what is going on in my life. I hope to include photos in the future. Here you will be able to learn about my wife, Lacy, as well. As of today, I am a student at Baptist Bible College Graduate School with the intention of graduation in May 2009. My wife is an elementary teacher at a small town south of where we live. Upon graduation, I hope to began working as a youth pastor in a doctrinally sound church.

Three truths that I keep in mind for my life are:
1. My goal is to please/bring glory to God.
2. I please God by becoming like Christ.
3. God doesn't expect me to be perfect, but He does expect me to be growing.
(Please consider adopting this 3 truths for your life as well)

My hobbies and interests are:
Wood Carving, Reading, Leatherworking, Guitar, Djembe, Playing Games, Hunting, Fishing, Woodworking, Archery, Frisbee Golf, and going out with my wife :)

Thanks for visiting,
David Egesdal
